  • The Manual presents a summary of the Counseling Model in Contraception for the Indigenous Regions and Dispersed Rural Areas of Panama. It details the three strategies of the Model: (1) Orientation / counseling in contraception; (2) The group educational action; (3) Intercultural dialogue. Each strategy points out the steps for its application. The Manual is accompanied by eight guides that the provider should use as support and reference material for each of the strategies. The Manual has instructions for its use. However, it is important to mention that this document does not replace the training of the suppliers responsible for the implementation of the Model. They provide information on public policies and the main legal frameworks that are relevant for contraceptive counseling. The nine guides include examples, templates pages and additional tools.
