Tell us your story: the Initiative Learning Project
What is it?
Salud Mesoamérica Initiative is a regional public-private partnership working with the governments of Mesoamerica to reduce maternal, neonatal and child morbidity and mortality in the poorest areas of the region, testing a new business model. One of the objectives of the program is to learn about what is going well and what needs to be improved. The Initiative Learning Project seeks to help us better learn from each others' experiences in how the Salud Mesoamérica system works. By bringing together our collective insights we can work together to decrease maternal and child morbidity and mortality in the poorest 20% of the population, thereby reducing health inequities in the Mesoamerican Region.
To learn from each others’ experiences, Salud Mesoamérica Initiative has developed a Tool, available online or on paper, to collect stories from participants and then ask them a series of questions to help us understand and systematize their experiences.
Tell us your story. Participants can share as many stories as they want. The more they share, the more we can learn and improve the Initiative. Encourage everyone to share a story; we need all we can get! Remember, all stories shared are anonymous.
Note: the tool works best using Google Chrome
Why are we doing it?
Experiences are an important way to share learning. We have access to lots of data from program surveys, health information systems and financial data. This information helps us to better understand the stories behind the numbers and understand how and why things happen. This information helps country leaders make important programmatic decisions, and also helps the Salud Mesoamérica Initiative regional program learn how it can improve.
How many stories do we have so far? +1500
